POLICE have issued an Efit of a suspect involved in a violent burglary.

The burglary took place at a house in Hearnfield Road, Littlehampton, at 11.40am on the morning of Tuesday, February 28.

The 90-year old resident answered a knock at the door and was met by two men asking if they could use the phone.

Once the door was opened they pushed him to the floor and one of the suspects kept guard over him, refusing to help him to his feet, whilst the second searched his house.

The two men made off without taking anything, leaving the victim unhurt but badly shaken.

Both suspects are described as white. One, of whom the Efit has been made, is aged 20 to 30, 6' and of stocky build. He has short brown hair and was wearing a fawn coloured top.

The second suspect was in his 30s, a little taller than the first, of slim build and described as having a stoop. He has medium length dark brown hair and was wearing dark clothing and gloves.

Detective constable Gavin Percival, of the West Sussex Community Investigation Team, said: "We should all be disgusted at the behaviour of these two cowards. If you know anything about this offence or who committed it please do not hesitate to contact the police."
