ONE of the biggest boybands of the 1990s will help a shopping centre celebrate its quarter of a century.

Damage will be performing at the 25th birthday party of County Mall in Crawley tomorrow [Saturday].

The band sold 2.5 million records worldwide and had 11 UK chart hits during the 1990s, gaining further fame when singer Jade Jones married Spice Girl Emma Bunton.

Their hits included singles Forever, Love Guaranteed and Wonderful Tonight.

The anniversary party, between 11am and 4pm, will feature the band performing their hit Ghetto Romance, with fans having the chance to meet with the band afterwards.

Shoppers visiting on the day can also take advantage of exclusive in-store birthday discounts from a variety of stores including Debenhams, Hotel Chocolat, Warehouse and The Body Shop, with free muffins and fizz on offer.

For younger visitors there will be entertainers, dancing groups, a magician, face painting and balloon modelling.

The shopping centre in Southgate Avenue first opened its doors in 1992.

It was originally named TC6 and had been designed to be open air with shops under cover either side.
