ROCK band Royal Blood are in line to top the charts this week with their new album How Did We Get So Dark?

The record shot up the album charts after it hit shelves on Friday, knocking British electronic-pop trio London Grammar out of the top five completely.

Royal Blood’s Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher grew up in Worthing and formed the band in 2013.

Their self-titled first album was also a number one hit, featuring singles Little Monster and Come On Over.

The album was shortlisted for the Mercury Music Prize.

Their much-anticipated second record now also looks set to get to number one.

The band will play a number of European festivals over the next few weeks, including Glastonbury at the weekend.

They will then head to Australia before embarking on a tour of North America.

The pair, who live in Brighton, have spoken of their struggle to adjust to normality after the highs of their first album.

Mike said in an interview: “You’re super-pumped watching Countryfile and you’re like, ‘What’s going on?’

“I feel like I’m absolutely buzzing for no reason.
