A MAN has died after a crash between a car and a tractor.
Emergency services were called to the A286 Main Road, Birdham, near Chichester at around 2.30pm on Monday.
A Nissan Note being driven northbound collided with a Fendt tractor with a trailer being driven in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Note, a 75-year-old from West Wittering , was declared dead at the scene.
The 22-year-old male driver of the tractor, from Horsham, was not injured.
The accident closed the road, close to its junction with Crooked Lane, for six and a half hours while investigation work took place.
