ROAD users are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys as a major highway improvement scheme starts this week.
Engineers are carrying out construction work for a £2 million scheme on the A259 in the Bognor and Littlehampton area.
They are building a safer, more direct route for pedestrians and cyclists.
The A259 will remain open throughout the work but temporary traffic lights will be used during certain times.
West Sussex County Council said the work was expected to last for about six months.
