TAYLOR Wimpey Southern Counties has given Ferring County Centre a boost of £500.
The homebuilder, whose Barley Grange development is nearby in West Durrington, has provided the money to help purchase new show jumping equipment to assist providing therapy, training and work experience for local people with learning disabilities.
The centre helps people develop work and social skills with an equestrian centre, a small animals farm, a garden centre and rangers’ café.
Its aim is to enable its clients to work in the community through voluntary or paid employment.
Sam Kirk, office co-ordinator for Ferring Country Centre, said: “We are strongly committed to helping more vulnerable adults gain social inclusion.
“Support from local businesses is really important so we are very grateful to Taylor Wimpey for this welcome contribution.”
