BUSINESSWOMAN Michelle Bly has received a top national award.

She is head designer at the Flower Shop in Wick village, Littlehampton, and has been presented with the Rotary Club of Littlehampton Vocational Award for her community and charity fundraising work.

She was also highly commended in the BBC Sussex Community Heroes Award.

Michelle picked up both awards after being invited to attend a meal by the Rotary Club of Littlehampton.

She said: “Over the last 12 years we have raised more than £10,000 for a number of charities including St Barnabas House and Cancer Research UK and also enjoy being active in our community.

“I would like to thank The Rotary Club for recognizing this, none of which would be possible without the support of an amazing team, family and friends - thank you all.”

Geoff Watts, chairman of the community service committee of the Rotary Club Of Littlehampton said “We were very pleased to present Michelle with the Rotary Club of Littlehampton Vocational Award which was thoroughly deserved.

“We also presented Michelle with a second award, that being the BBC Sussex Community Heroes Award.”
