BURGESS Hill-based fitness centre Ultimate Warrior Training has marked one year since it moved into new premises in the Victoria Business Park by expanding its facility and investing in new equipment for its High Intensity Interval Training room.

UWT, which was started in 2014 as an outdoor bootcamp business, has enjoyed considerable success and growth since its inception, and moved into the unit in Kings House, Victoria Road, in March 2017.

As well as the HIIT room, the facility also boasts a large bootcamp room and a state of the art personal training room, to cater for the varying needs of its members.

UWT also offers boxing for fitness classes and leases its facility to additional boxing and fitness clubs who use the unit on various weekday evenings for classes and competitions.

Formerly catering for eight members at a time, the newly improved HIIT room can now host 12 people, boasting four power plate machines, two high end skiing machines, two rowing machines and four spin bikes, as well as various weights.

The room has been doubled in size and flows seamlessly into the unit’s spacious reception area.

Since opening the unit last year, UWT has acquired 250 new members and upgraded to a new booking and payment facility, working alongside a professional gym management company.

Business owners Paul and Nicky Gilson, Dave Shaldoum and Emma Tasker have also been able to take on additional staff members to help run the 21 classes a day hosted at the unit, with the full team now standing at seven fully qualified personal trainers.

Paul Gilson, joint owner, said: “We’ve been blown away by the success we’ve enjoyed in the last year since opening the unit and to be able to expand what we offer and cater for even more ‘warrior’ members is something we’re phenomenally proud of.

“We’ve worked so hard to build the business and it’s really paying off; we can’t wait to continue the journey in the years to come.”
