People will be banned from drinking outside pubs after 11pm in part of an East Sussex seaside town to stop an increase in alcohol-fuelled crime.

Sussex Police said residents in George Street, Hastings Old Town, reported alcohol-related incidents had risen since the change in licensing laws.

A police spokesman said officers will be highly visible in the area

Can't you see ???? It's all part of the "Master Plan". Another historical leader called it "The Final Solution".

mmm not too sure this will work!!!
town centers yes, this smoking ban does work, but in smaller villages/towns most pubs are opposite/next door to residentual homes. this ban has created a new problem of noise. now i have to endure all the screaming shouting and loud laughing outside of the pub right up until 11.30pm plus the door is wide open and the music is blearing from indside!!
dont get me wrong, i don blame the drinkers as this is how they behave inside but theyve been forced outside, but i do think the landlords should take some responsibility to keep the noise level down for the sake of the neighbours. its a new problem that has risen. this ban does not work.

All this control freakery and much, much more to come because of a few well-funded and devious smoke-haters.
Britain and Britishness will suffer massive damage due to all the 'healthist' legislation that ignores the amazing fact that enjoyment of life is most important for well-being. We are not robots to be controlled by 'those-who-know-best
'
