Skoda’s Superb range brings together luxury and comfort but at a price that’s affordable, now in its second year its created a soothing ride that is the synonymous with these things. Add to that a strong range of diesel engines and the kind of comprehensive kit list gives you all in all a very strong package.

However you need a range topper to complete the package which is where the 3.6 v6 4x4 comes in. available in top spec elegance trim only, it combines petrol punch and the reassurance of the impressive four wheel drive system to provide more of a driving experience than any other version in the range.

Its as handsome and distinctive as the rest of the Superb range, although standard fit 18” alloy wheels are attractive and classy,. the exterior is also sharp enough to cut the mustard.

With 260bhp and 258ib ft of torque coming from the sweet and flexible 3.6-litre six cylinder power plant it is by some margin the fastest and most powerful car that Skoda makes.

Comfort, usability, practicality and all round sense of driving and ownership satisfaction would sum this model up to a tee.
