Police arrested three people after the bodies of two women were found in Wakefield
Three people are being questioned on suspicion of murder after the bodies of two women were discovered in a flat.
The unidentified women were found at the property on Barden Road in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, by police on Saturday.
Two men, aged 19 and 23, and one 19-year-old woman were taken into custody by Kent Police on suspicion of murder after being arrested more than 250 miles away from the crime scene in Dover.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "Officers were contacted by Kent Police at 4.47am after a 19-year-old woman in Dover raised concerns for the safety of two women from the West Yorkshire area.
"The flat and the surrounding area has been sealed off while a forensic examination of the scene is undertaken."
A Kent Police spokeswoman said officers were called to Gloster Way, Dover, following "concerns for a woman's safety".
"On arrival, the 19-year-old woman raised concerns for the safety of two further women in West Yorkshire," the spokeswoman added.
"Acting on that information, police in West Yorkshire found the bodies of two women at a property in Wakefield.
"Under the direction of West Yorkshire Police, three people have been arrested in Dover on suspicion of murder."
All further inquiries have been directed to West Yorkshire Police.
