At first place not much has changed in Shoreham High Street since this picture was taken, probably during the 1960s.
But the swans in the foreground would no longer be able to reach the area now known as Coronation Green as it has been railed off from the beach.
In the background the old Norfolk Bridge over the River Adur can just be seen,
There is also a green Southdown bus in the high street run by Southdown. Nowadays the coastal buses through Shoreham are blue and operated by Stagecoach.
On the right, the start of East Street, now a pedestrian precinct, can be seen.
