A group of Brighton and Hove protesters dressed up as miners to demonstrate over a bank’s mining activities.
Campaigners from Brighton and Hove World Development Movement donned hard hats and high visibility gear on Saturday outside HSBC in Western Road, Brighton.
The protest was to highlight the bank’s role in funding £3.8 billion-worth of carbon-intensive coal mining projects around the world.
A spokesman for HSBC said: “There was a small protest outside the Western Road Brighton branch on Saturday. However, the branch was closed, as it's not one that opens at the weekend.”
