COUNCIL bosses have been given a tour of a new area which forms Eastbourne’s new creative and cultural hub.
Borough council leader David Tutt, chief executive Robert Cottrill, and tourism boss Phil Evans, were shown around the Devonshire Collective venues
The Devonshire Collective Community Interest Company was created by a council-led initiative following a successful central government grant bid.
The venues are now open to the public, providing artists’ studios, makerspaces, a workshop, gallery, café and space available for events and training.
Councillor Tutt said: “This is a fantastic boost for Eastbourne’s creative sector, providing a great opportunity to develop local emerging artists and getting people engaged in creative projects.”
Royal Hippodrome Theatre and Leaf Hall Arts Centre are associate venues.
