A PENSIONER who abused two Members of Parliament via social media has accepted a police caution.

The unnamed 73-year-old man from West Sussex was arrested and held by Met Police officers on Wednesday.

He later accepted a caution for the offences the same day.

The allegations were made to the Met Police by the victims on 13 July 2016 and 20 July 2016.

After an assessment, an investigation was started by the Met's Counter Terrorism Command in liaison with the Met's Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command.

These were not treated as terrorist incidents.

The victims have not been named.
