MID Sussex Labour Party has announced a new candidate for an upcoming by-election.
Linda Grace will stand for the Franklands ward town council by-election in Haywards Heath on Thursday, October 19.
Ms Grace said: “I am excited at this opportunity to seek election to the town council. It’s time for change in Haywards Heath – having a council entirely run by the Conservative Party has led to poor decision making and lack of scrutiny on important local issues such as planning and protecting our environment.
“People in Franklands know that their views are rarely heeded. I intend to change that and stand up for all who live in the ward.”
Greg Mountain, chairman of Haywards Heath Labour branch, said Linda will bring great experience to the role.
