Chris Eubank's ex-wife Karron has put her £3.25 million seafront mansion up for sale.

The move has signalled Mrs Eubank's intention to leave Brighton and Hove after living in the city for more than 25 years.

During that time she has become a well-known figure around the city, thanks in no small part to the fame of her eccentric boxer ex-husband.

Karron said she was reluctant to leave Brighton and Hove but felt it was necessary for the good of her children.

She said: "I am torn, but my children want to live in the country and I would like to get more of a balance for them."

Her youngest son Joe, ten, goes to school in Seaford and Mrs Eubank said the distance from their home was difficult for the family.

The house she will be leaving is an impressive white six-storey Grade II listed building at the seafront end of Medina Terrace in Hove, close to the King Alfred leisure centre.

It has been a home to her, Joe and her other children, Christopher, 17, Sebastian, 15, and Emily, 13, since her divorce from Mr Eubank in the summer of 2005.

From the balcony at the front of the property there are views stretching along the coast to the cliffs east of Brighton Marina in one direction and to Worthing in the other.

The beach is a short walk from the family's front door across King's Esplanade.

The mansion has six bedrooms, five bathrooms, parking spaces for four cars and comes complete with a two-bedroom flat on the ground floor.

Karron, originally from Shoreham, said she made an offer to buy the house as soon as she had been inside it for the first time. She paid £1.8 million for the property.

She said: "If it were just me I would probably stay. I'm a sea person so I would like to have somewhere here as well as the country."

Before their divorce the Eubanks had lived at a family house in Upper Drive, Hove, which has now been converted into a block of 41 apartments.

They appeared together in a short-lived reality television series called At Home With The Eubanks.

When they split Mr Eubank said: "Karron just cannot put up with me any more."

Mrs Eubank said: "I have no idea what he gets up to. My life is normal, Chris's is not."
