The Argus team shot hours of footage on Monday's protest. We have now edited them, and created six short films showing how events unfolded at key city locations.

I think your better to leave your footage un-edited, as this shows what actually happened not what you want people to see.

Hmmm im wondering why the police and macdonalds allowed families to enter the store just prior to the protest approaching. It was clearly mentioned on the freely available info sheet and map. Surely historical occurences between macdonalds and protesters on many occasions should be taken into account at such events. Usually, at protests, macdonalds is almost always closed. Was this mere stupidity/irresponsi
bility? or was it deliberate in order to create bad publicity? Either way it was clearly a mistake to advise them to stay open and I would hope the families involved would ask for this matter to be investigated.

Im sure the organisers of smash EDO did not instruct or plan for macdonalds to be targeted with cans and paint balloons but there is always the chance that individuals will take it upon themselves to express thier point in this way. Nobody has total control of the protesters so I think it unfair to cast the net over everybody involved.

Brighton and Hove was hit by the biggest demonstration in more than 20 years today as Smash EDO took to the streets to protest against the EDO factory's involvement in arms production. BAN THE BOMBS: A masked protester on Monday
