TO mark the 90th birthday of Mr Charlie Ager of Sycamore Road, long associated with Booker life and the Methodist Church, a special service of thanksgiving will be held at Cryers Hill Methodist Church on Sunday, June 10, at 6pm. The service will be followed by refreshments. All from Booker are very welcome.

As well as being a stalwart supporter of Booker Chapel until it closed, Charlie Ager is one of the longest serving members of Booker and District Horticultural Society. Best Wishes Charlie, from all the members of the society. Everyone hopes that you had a happy day on June 4.

BOOKER Memorial Hall Social Committee invites all local residents to a general discussion on the theme: What Do You Want? at the hall on Tuesday, June 12, at 8pm. The committee would much appreciate it if you would go to the meeting with suggestions on what events the hall should organise or what you would like to organise with the co-operation of the hall committee. Do go along to express your views and hear what ideas have already been put forward.

THE third WADSAD (Wycombe and District Sports Association for the Disabled) Games were held at Stokenchurch Community Centre on Sunday, May 20. The home team came away with two gold medals, four silver and four bronze. The results were: Mary Connolly, 1 bowles; Robin Garden, 1 bean bag target; Stephen Brewster, 2 discuss and 3 petanque; Nicky Rose, 2 javelin and 3 discus; Sue Redman, Spike Goddard and Lorna Hogg, 2, 2 and 3 bean bag target; and Vicky Price, 3 golf.
