Sussex woke up to blue skies and sunshine as the recent storms finally passed.

Yesterday saw foul weather play havoc in the county with trees down, rail networks disrupted, flooding and the seafront being battered.

But just in time for the Brighton Half Marathon today, the sun came out.

It is forecast to be dry and bright all day and there are no severe weather warnings from the Met Office.

The week ahead should be drier too although there is some raiin forecast.
