Anna Mitchell and 4 other Millais girls represented Millais School at the South East Regional Schools Trampolining Competition in Gillingham, Kent on 26th November. I interviewed Anna Mitchell to tell me about this event.

She started doing recreational trampolining when she moved to Horsham in 2010 when she was 5 but stopped for 4 years and returned back in 2014 and joined a competitive club.

I asked Anna how she felt about representing her school and she said "I was really glad to represent the school and get a team medal".

Anna had competed with her club at Gillingham before so it was familiar, and the girls competing with her from Millais were also from her club or had been at her club so they all knew each other. There was five of them total and four of them were competing as part of a team. As a team they won the silver medal and individually they came 4th, 5th, 7th and 13th out of 21 girls. Their other school friend came 3rd in her category. They all qualified for the next level which is the Zonal Competition in January. Their PE teacher Ms Powell was really pleased, coming back with two trophies for Millais.

Anna injured her ankle in the previous weeks before the competition so she was really happy that it went well!
