Let's alter the law
Over the past two years I have read and heard local media in Brighton reporting on the need for more social housing.
In May 2011 Cllr Bill Randall led the Green Council, yet no council houses were built that year nor in the following year.
Since April 2012 following the revamped right to buy legislation Brighton & Hove City Council have not built a new home for every council property sold off (some might say given away). Will the next Government change the right to buy legislation so that tenants will have to wait at least seven years before they may buy at a maximum 25% discount.
