I was just reading about these bike accidents that have happened since the new bike lines have been put in at Vogue Gyratory (Argus, December 19).
I live in Bevendean and since these have been in place it is a nightmare to get across the Lewes Road in the morning after 8am.
You have to queue for a long time morning and nights.
I’m a car driver and the other day was just coming past Sainsbury’s getting in the single carriage by the bus station and a car nearly went up my backside as it was coming round that corner.
You do not have any space to move over towards Bear Road or to carry on with the Lewes Road.
I also catch the bus and the traffic on the Lewes Road is so bad it can take me over half an hour just to get anywhere.
So I think the bike lines have made it a lot worse and a lot more dangerous for car divers.
It was better before they started to mess around with any of the lines. Put it back to how it was.
