I am secretary of 102 (Ceylon) Squadron and I am trying to trace the family of Sgt Frank William Dorrington RAFVR, aged 23, of Brighton.

His parents were Henry and Alice Dorrington (née Leach), of Brighton.

He was a member of the crew in a Halifax bomber and died when it crashed at Pocklington, Yorkshire, on March 29, 1943, serving in 102 (Ceylon) Squadron.

He is buried in The Downs Cemetery, Brighton.

The crash site of this aircraft has been excavated during building work and a memorial will be erected on the site to Frank and the other six members of the crew who died that night.

I would be grateful for any information on the family so they can be told what is being planned.
