I was so pleased to see Mr. T.A. Boswell's letter about John Mann's concert at The Dome on March 2.

We took an elderly friend from Lancing to see it and collected her again afterwards. She tries very hard to get to all of his concerts at Worthing and there will not be so many of those this year.

We made an effort to get her to The Dome and collect her again afterwards because we know that she enjoys his concerts so much.

He is so friendly when you meet him. He is a true Brightonian and how nice that Mr Boswell compared John's show with that of the late, great Douglas Reeve who inspired John.

In turn John encourages new talent such as the wonderful Jonathan who I heard the majority of those leaving the concert praising. John is an amazing all-round entertainer.

If ever a name should be put on a Brighton bus it should be John Mann. He travels all over the country and the world to play Wurlitzer organs and there are very few people left who can do that.

I did enjoy listening to the music I could hear whilst waiting for the concert to finish. John even told me roughly what time the performance would finish.

I do think that we should be able to hear and see more of John while he is still ‘young’ enough to perform.

The joy on the faces of the audience afterwards was amazing and the effort he made to greet all of his fans afterwards was outstanding. You are a true gentleman, Mr Mann.

I wonder if The Argus could produce an article about John and his life and times. It would make very interesting reading either in the paper or in your excellent weekend magazine.
