Overr the last five years we have had to visit several hospitals – Queen Alexandra at Portsmouth, St Richard’s at Chichester, Worthing Hospital, Eastbourne DGH, and today, to our consternation, we had to visit a relative incarcerated at Royal Sussex County Hospital.
It was awful. It took us nearly half an hour to reach the ward after finally finding a parking space.
There were no windows in said ward (as far as we could see) and very dry conditions which lead to bacterial germs and viruses.
Why, when they have other sites available, do the relevant authorities insist on crowding everything on to one unsatisfactory site.
Are they not looking at the bigger picture. The population in Brighton continues to grow.
