YOU recently reported that i360 Ltd want to drop their plans for a wind turbine at the top of their tower and the proposal for gathering rainwater because of safety concerns (The Argus, July 22).

This calls into question the claim that the i360 has environmental credentials as well as their competence in organising utilities for the project.

Recently there has also been concern about the way they have been encroaching on the public beach as well as the disturbance being caused to residents and visitors.

It appears that i360Ltd has ridden roughshod over local democracy, environmental policies and protection of our heritage.

We also need to ensure that they pay in full the £36.2 million that the council has lent to them and will need to pay back to the Public Works Loans Board.

If you want to help hold i360 Ltd to account and ensure that they do not abuse their power please sign the e-petition on the Brighton and Hove Council website.
