After doing an exceptionally long 23 mile run last weekend, it has been hard to drag myself out onto the streets even to do the smaller four mile runs this week. I had Monday off granted, but that just made it harder for me to apply myself the next day. On Tuesday I took a trundle along the seafront from King Alfred, which was fairly pleasant apart from almost tripping over an over-excited border collie. He was chasing a ball that just had to be hurtling towards me. The owner gave me a rather "sheepish look" excuse the pun, and I gave him a kind of mmmm grrrr look back!

Wednesday was a treadmill day, boring as hell but good for speed training. Thursday didn't happen as I just didn't have the energy and also because I mistakenly thought I had a run-free day on Friday, where I intended to make up for it. I did however not read my schedule properly and had a run to do on Friday too this week. So I disgruntingly made up the mileage today.

Two trips around hilly Hollingbury taking me up Ditchling Road past the golf course, past the Argus Offices and up Carden Hill. The cats are very chilled around there. I ran past three having a bit of a cat social I guess, and they just sat there peering at me as I ambled past.

My feet are not looking pretty. The second toe of my right foot has a very attractive black toenail appearing and my left foot is enjoying a couple of blisters. Just in time for the summer... socks and sandals it is then.
