Last night I went along to the Gang Up magazine launch party at The Old Music Library opposite the Mash Tun on Church Street - the perfect place to have a 'do' such as this, I might add.

The Gang Up magazine team describe themselves as '..a magazine dedicated to the best photography and fashion from a group of reckless individuals located in a little seaside town...... Gang Up is a story of ambition and grandiose plans' It seems like we have a great deal to look forward to from this lovely lot then.

A bit of background about the magazine and the people behind it; when local photography gurus, Louie Banks and Sam Hiscox were recruited by DarkDaze to create a special edition fashion magazine, they shortly after called to arms Brighton style queens Ophelia Fancy, Emma Sandham-King and Stevi Jelbart to join their creative forces. Following this, part-time model and blogger Sally Reynolds hopped on board and together they have produced the sexy glossy that has now emerged.

The launch party provided us with some light ale, some magical DJ's and 100 numbered copies of the magazine available for ten pounds cash - which I have to say is not only simply stunning but a tribute to our raw local talent. Gang Up is now on general sale too (£12) but if you can't find a copy and your curiosity gets the better of you, order by emailing info@gangupmagazine.com with your details. They promise to get back to you asap.
