Sometimes, nothing brightens your day quicker than slipping into one of this season's feminine floral or patterned pieces. Whether you go for 'look at me' artistic prints or delicate ditsy florals are more your bag, watch your wardrobe blossom and bloom with the selection of gorgeous floral dresses, tops and skirts that are about at the moment.

In Brighton, there is only one place to go for the ultimate girly patterned dress or skirt - Get Cutie. Based in trendy Kensington Gardens, Get Cutie specialises in handmade-to-measure dresses, skirts, shirts and jackets which are all made locally or in their on-site studio - in terms of style, think super sexed-up Sex and the City.

Founder Fiona England and her team source the wide range of brightly coloured fabrics and quirky retro prints that are jam-packed into the tiny North Laine store from all around the world and they are more often than not unique to Get Cutie. From Carousel Horses (my object of desire this month) to beautiful Bluebirds, there is something to suit all ages, but you may have to browse through the rows of rails for awhile because there is so much to choose from!

Thanks to the head seamstress Ruth Monroe, one of the big selling points with Get Cutie is the perfect fit. For ladies that think they won't suit a dress or can never find anything to fit them properly around the bust, it's well worth knowing that the sizes range from 8-24 and are also made-to-measure for bra cup-size (from A-G, which the girls are working on, erm, expanding..).

As with everything popular, some of the fabrics sell out fast so if you see something you like I'd snap it up. However, if you can't get into Brighton, or the sight of the miserable rain we keep having makes you want to retreat back into hibernation until the sun comes out again, then I recommend a spot of online shopping on the fab new website from the comfort of your armchair to cheer you up.

Dresses start from £90
