Our energy will not be secure forever. We need to think about how we use power, how to reduce our consumption and how we can be more intelligent about sourcing it.
So for people to be thinking ahead, installing technology which harnesses the power of the sun and heat of the earth, as well as taking basic steps to insulate homes, is a positive step to securing energy for the future.
But this is not just an effort to be futuristic. By being more energy efficient, homes, schools and businesses can reduce monthly bills. It truly is a win-win situation.
This movement is from the ground, started by passionate people in the community who want the best for everyone.
And by changing the way that schools work while educating pupils along the way we are also teaching future generations how important it is to conserve energy and be aware of where it comes from.
Power is not a finite resource and it needs to be respected and treated with care.
