MONTHS of misery could come to an end as the council has stepped into a row over train sidings.
After complaints from residents in Grange Close, Brighton, the city council has now done the right thing and used its clout to give them a helping hand.
While the trains must keep going and need somewhere to be stabled, cleaned and maintained – surely there was a better solution than putting a new siding just a stone’s throw from people’s properties.
Residents have suffered for months and thanks to campaigning from neighbours and local politicians at last it looks like it is coming to an end.
With a noise notice now served on the site, hopefully residents can get back to enjoying their homes and gardens.
