How would you feel if a service you relied on as you brought up your children was suddenly taken away?
This could be the case if Brighton and Hove City Council decides to cut back on children’s centres and related services.
Parents have told us that attending regular, free groups and seeking advice offered at children’s centres, which are run by the council, are a lifeline.
Many said they felt terribly isolated before they found solace through these services and met other families. They said they could see their children developing every time they interacted with other children and took part in activities.
This is why today The Argus has launched a campaign to give these parents a voice and fight for the services they deserve. Many are joining forces to take a stand against the proposed reductions and we are supporting their crusade and urging others to join as well.
Our future generations should not suffer as a result of austerity.
