BY 7pm we will most likely know whether the Albion are up or whether they will have to wait until next weekend.

Either way it promises to be another exciting day for everyone connected with the Albion.

And what a lift Bloom, Hughton and the players – plus the coaches and rest of their staff – have given the whole county this season.

Football is often seen as just a game.

But it’s more than that – it’s big business these days and it will be great to see the city and places further afield benefit in terms of economic prosperity next season.

It’s going to be great welcoming supporters from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool next season – plus of course our near rivals Crystal Palace.

The city will be packed and the fans will be spending money in terms of hotel stays plus obviously the restaurants and bars.

It will give the city, in particular, a massive boost.

This is a city which is already so popular and much-loved around the world.

Many people won’t believe that it’s actually about to happen.

But in all likelihood Albion are about to go into the Premier League and the land of the big spenders.

We will need to settle down and find our way in the top league.

In year one we will be glad just to stay put but messrs Bloom, Hughton and co. know that the Albion faithful will want more than that eventually.

That’s for another day.

For the time being let’s just say “well done” and a big “thank you” to the Albion.

At some stage – today or next weekend – we’re sure to be celebrating. And it’s going to be great!
