TODAY we can reveal the details of Sunday’s parade along the seafront.

The open-top bus will make its way from Brighton Palace Pier to Hove Lawns where the players will be introduced to the crowd.

This promises to be quite an occasion.

Some have suggested that the failure to close out the title has taken the gloss off the season.

However, we mustn’t lose sight of what team has achieved across the 2016/17 season.

Brighton and Hove Albion is an ambitious club.

It has been building towards this for a number of years.

It hasn’t gone looking for money from wealthy foreign investors – instead it has had the backing of a Brighton boy who has helped the club grow.

Albion haven’t spent stupid money and haven’t broken financial fair play rules.

The club has done things properly and as such is the envy of many other teams. We shouldn’t forget that.

You only have to look back ten, 15, 20 years ago to see how far Albion have come.

So this Sunday, forget the disappointment of missing out on the Championship trophy and come out and celebrate with Knockeart, Hemed and Dunk.

While they will be front and centre, the success of the football club is about more than 11 blokes.

There are dozens behind the scenes who are part of this success. Not to mention the fans who have been there during the darkest of times over the past couple of decades.

So let’s make Sunday a day to remember and give all at the club the appreciation they deserve.
