I was interested to read a letter from Shirley Gooding about the noises she can hear since a new water plant went into service near Telscombe Cliffs (The Argus, December 13).
My son lives opposite the site and has been hearing a sound like a loud horn followed by a rumbling noise at various times.
He has contacted Southern Water but has not received a response yet.
The problem is it is not always at the same time, so it’s difficult to get someone in to identify it or even agree that the water plant is the cause of the noise.
I am writing this on my son’s behalf as he currently away, but I thought it would be worth letting Shirley know that she is not alone and not imagining it.
