The sooner we start seeing public unisex toilets, the better

I FOR one wonder what planet Christine Luffman comes from if she thinks gender-neutral public toilets will increase opportunities for paedophiles (Letters, February 28).

Every toilet will be a private single unit to give total privacy, instead of communal urinals as is the case in most male toilets or somewhere for females to gather in pairs when nature calls.

The sooner we can have unisex toilets, the better.

I am in complete agreement with Christine Luffman’s views regarding the gender-neutral toilets in Rottingdean.

I had been reserving judgement when I first heard of the intention to build them, but I would not use them myself and most certainly wouldn’t allow my two grandchildren to use them.

In a perfect world it shouldn’t be a problem, but we all know we do not live in a perfect world – and the first time a child, or adult for that matter, is faced with something inappropriate this politically-correct council will have a lot to answer for.
