Further to your story about a school’s pet boar which was sent to slaughter, my reaction to this is that all the staff and children should be educated about exactly what is involved in the slaughter process, with no part of the process omitted.

I suspect that 95% of the general public don’t know the full details.

In addition, schoolchildren should be educated about how intensive farming works, including detail on farrow crates, tail docking, teeth clipping and castration.

People have a right to know how their food is produced. There are plenty of resources on the internet.
