During the war I lived with my family in Gladstone Road in Portslade.
Early one evening, returning home from the local shops with my sister, above us flying low over the town was a German bomber. I can still see the large crosses under its wings.
It was machine-gunning the streets. My sister flew home dragging me behind her.
Is there anyone who remembers this incident and what this lone bomber was up to?
