We would like to pay tribute to Muriel Elms, who sadly passed away recently aged 100.

Muriel was a remarkable woman who made an enormous contribution to the community of Patcham, near Brighton, as did her late husband Graham.

She lived in Patcham almost all her life and was heavily involved with many local groups.

Her passion, commitment and knowledge were extraordinary and will be sadly missed.

Muriel celebrated her 100th birthday party last December and lived at home on her own right up until ten days before she passed away.

She will rightly be remembered for many years to come.
