With reference to the letter published in the Argus, Seasonal Cyclist (Vic Chapman, May 29), regarding the alleged and uncomfirmed sighting of a cyclist along the Old Shoreham road cycle path.

I believe I also saw similar along the same stretch of road in the distance about two weeks ago.

I understood that the species was extinct in that area but they’re obviously starting to make an appearance.

Who knows, by later on in the summer, a few more may be sighted. It’s nice to know that the Green Party expenditure was worth it.
