Tax rises were over 8%
Labour Group Leader Warren Morgan’s letter (Argus 10 July 2014) in which he attempts to berate the local Green Party over the suggested 5.9% council tax increase is breathtaking to behold.
Councillor Morgan must hold the electorate of our city in real contempt if he thinks that we don't remember that the last Labour administration levied council tax increases at an average of over 8% per annum and local voters would do well to bear that in mind when considering who they should vote for next May!
