In response to your reader’s story about dogs and cyclists on the prom, I would like to give him my full support when it comes to shaming those law-breakers on the promenade.

I use the prom a lot and have been crashed into by a cyclist who was using his phone, another young girl crashed into me while her parents rode next to her and I’ve even been tripped up by a dog. It’s disgraceful.

I’ve noticed a police sign in Shoreham high street saying that cyclists riding on the pavement face an on-the-spot fine of £50.
