Full marks for your idea
There are a couple of points I would like to reply to: Firstly, your correspondent Brian Snow (Letters, August 11) regarding The Hippodrome and the Astoria.
What a great and wonderful idea. I am surprised the council had not thought of that or would that jeopardise some fantastic money-making scheme that someone has designs on?
Secondly, your correspondent who saw palm trees in the clouds. Neither I nor any of my friends/colleagues could see this supposed apparition.
