Your correspondent (The Argus Aug 25) states Rally for Israel was a demonstration of support for Israel’s attacks on Gaza.

It was not. It was a demonstration of support for Israel’s right to defend itself against continual rockets and kidnapping and murder of its children.

Same difference, perhaps you could tell us why it is that Palestinians are denied the right to self defence that Israel claims for itself? A pertinent question since Israel kills far more Palestinians than the other way round. If you look at the casualty figures it is clear that its the Palestinians who should be claiming a right to self defence.

As for killing children, just remind me how many Israeli soldiers have been charged with this murder?

Strange isnt it that Hamas are willing to sign up to the ICC charter and be judged for any crimes committed but Israel won't and yet they continue to try and take the moral high ground.

Israel arrested 800 Hamas activists in the West Bank killing 9 innocent people in the process in a deliberate and cynical attempt to drive a wedge between the newly reconciled Hamas and Fatah factions - it's the old divide and rule strategy! THIS led to the recent conflagration and is part of a deliberate Israeli policy although the letter writer and his kind would rather deflect the truth with lies about continual rocket attacks - when the FACTS are that Hamas had not fired a rocket since 2012 and that they had cracked down so hard on other groups that rocket attacks had fallen to an average of just five a month!!

" perhaps you could tell us why it is that Palestinians are denied the right to self defence that Israel claims for itself? "

No-one has denied that Palestinians have the right to defend themselves.

What they do NOT have the right to do is continually bombard their neighbours in Israel.

You keep being told this.......do you have comprehension issues?

" A pertinent question since Israel kills far more Palestinians than the other way round."

No, it was a stupid question based on ignorance.

Oh, and the numbers killed are irrelevant.

" As for killing children, just remind me how many Israeli soldiers have been charged with this murder? http://en.wikipedia. org/wiki/Iman_Darwee sh_Al_Hams"

One.

He was acquitted.

"Hamas are willing to sign up to the ICC charter and be judged for any crimes committed"

They've done nothing of the sort.

They aren't a state, for a start.

That's because belonging to Hamas is an offence.

Steve!! & notslimjim in another disguise!!
But it's not actually an 'offence' is it as you have just made that up and they are a democratically elected representative of part of the Palestinian people - but of course Israel doesn't like 'democracy' when it doesn't suit them and when the Palestinians bite back by voting for Hamas due to Israels continued subjugation and oppression of a whole people!

Hamas is a proscribed terrorist organisation.

That is why Egypt supports Israel in its battle with Gaza. It is linked to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Membership of Hamas is an offence in Israel, which is why its members get arrested and charged there.

It's a FACT you clown so when morons like yourself talk about incessant rocket attacks by Hamas it is NOT TRUE - Israel arrested Hamas people and killed nine in the process and THAT is why they were attacked by Hamas!! Facts Steve!!/ notsllimjim/ okjared these are FACTS!
What on earth would have happened if Palestinians had killed nine Israelis virtually out of the blue?! Probably ten times worse than what has just happened!

You seem to have reality issues, not least over linking me with other posters.

The facts are that Hamas is a terrorist organisation. Even Jordan and Egypt recognise that, so why can't you?

No-one has claimed or suggested that every missile that gets launched towards Israel is sanctioned by Hamas but the fact (that difficult word for you) remains that Hamas is committed to the destruction of the Israeli state by any means, so that anyone shelling it is fine in its eyes.

Yes, people get killed when resisting arrest, and yes, there is sometimes collateral damage. If Hamas didn't hide among civilians, those deaths would be reduced, but those like you who support Hamas choose to ignore these facts (there's that word again).

Strange that you avoid the point that there have been minimal rocket attacks since 2012 despite your earlier assertion about Hamas 'continually' bombarding Israel - then again it's a FACT and easily checked so you have no answer and so start talking cr@p about something else!
