In reply to Janie Dexter (August 23): ‘I will film cyclists. Who is more likely to come off worse in a collision between a cyclist and a pedestrian?’ By the same token who is more likely to come off worse in a collision between a person in a metal box and a cyclist, however much “protective” gear the cyclist is wearing, which at best is a plastic helmet.

Every one knows the car always comes off best in that competition, all the more reason for cyclists to adhere to the law of the road and the Highway Code!
Pedestrians v cyclists? well 10 pedestrians killed by cyclists between 2005/9 also goes to show Jamie Dexter has a valid point.
