I applaud no to academy
I am a retired teacher. I was delighted to see the headline in The Argus: ‘Hove Park says no to academy.’ My children were all taught by qualified teachers. The academy programme is based on Mr Gove’s theory that any Tom, Dick or Harriet can teach and cheap unqualified teachers are the way forward.
Our children deserve better. I am glad that reason has triumphed at Hove Park.
