IT would be a huge benefit to see our heated community centre open for tea/coffee for the over 55s in Mile Oak this winter.
There are lonely residents in North Portslade, some facing social isolation after a partner has passed away.
A warm centre offering tea and biscuits a few days a week would give all our senior residents an opportunity to socialise.
Good locals could volunteer to help run the centre so that costs would be kept down to a minimum.
