A REPORT in The Argus (January 19) stated that, in a survey carried out by the Centre for Cities, Hastings was the most eco-friendly city in the UK. It was also the smallest place included in the survey and had the smallest population.
The report was packed with statistics about places such as Brighton and Hove, Crawley and Worthing, as well as Hastings, but I would warn people not to rely on them too much.
After all, they didn’t even know that Hastings isn’t a city: just the best known town in the country (think 1066) and long may it remain one.
Proud to have been born and raised in Hastings.
