Lesbians are being left behind in the homophobic equality.

Through this whole homophobic equality discussion and debate, it has become sexist.

Once again women are being left behind (not generalising all media but the large majority of times) whenever homosexuals are spoken about in government, gay marriage, interviews about bullying, teachers who have come out, music videos, films and television programmes, all that is spoken about is men. It seems that although society is getting to grips with homosexuality, lesbians are being left behind.

Have people forgotten that lesbians exist too? It’s not all about men in this world. Not all homosexuals are men.

Lesbians exist and they are being ignored as if they are not considered homosexuals.

It’s ridiculous and as a lesbian I am outraged that we are never spoken about or even considered.

Something needs to be done about sexism within homophobia.

They need to be represented more, equally with gay men.

Trying to fix homophobia isn’t going to work unless lesbians are spoken about too. Otherwise equality will be only for homosexual men and not women.
